Mercedes has over 20 years of supply chain experience working in a variety of management positions in procurement, finance, customs, logistics, operations and strategic network optimisation. She began her career with Chrysler Mexico in 1996. Mercedes has managed international logistics operations in Europe and South America, and was responsible for the launches and subsequent operations of Chrysler’s US, Canada and Mexico Integrated Logistics Centers. In addition to her regular role at FCA she has helped to found and served as President of the company’s Women’s Forum.

Oscar, who was born in Mexico City, completed his university studies in mechanical engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey and is currently pursuing a master's degree in renewable energies. He began his career in 1982 at Volkswagen of Mexico before a long stint with Chrysler that culminated in him becoming Director of Procurement and Quality at Chrysler de México. During his tenure at Chrysler, he served in Detroit, Michigan, as Development Manager responsible for Mexican suppliers and subsequently, as a result of the merger of Daimler and Chrysler, spent a period with Mercedes-Benz Spain as Procurement Director. He has held his current post since 2012.

An engineer by trade, Peter started his career with Audi AG in the mid 1990’s serving in international logistics planning. He moved to Cosworth Technology, based in Worcester, UK for three years before returning to Germany to a role in inbound logistics. Other senior positions within Audi followed before taking up his current position in Mexico. Peter holds a Master Degree of Nautical Science from the Nautical University of Odessa (UdSSR) and the Technical University of Györ (Hungary) and a Master Degree of Business Administration/ Engineering from the Technical University of Würzburg/ Schweinfurt, Germany. Peter says, “Our new factory in San Jose Chiapa, Mexico is a clear ambassador of “Vorsprung durch Technik”.

The Mexico Chamber of Commerce, headed by Albert, has operations in 17 regional offices throughout the United States and Mexico. He has held a variety of senior public and private sector roles including ARCO where he served for 18 years. He was a member of the Department of State′s Advisory Committee on International Trade, delegate to the U.S.-Mexico Partnership for Prosperity, and Chairman of the Reserve Forces Policy Board. His exemplary military service resulted in a Silver Star award, five Bronze Stars for Valor, the Purple Heart and thirty other awards for service during the Vietnam War. He rose to the rank of Major General. Albert is a graduate of Harvard School of Business, and the University of Southern California with a BA, MA and PhD.

He previously worked as Director of Logistics for Canada and the US in Nissan’s Supply Chain Management organization, and as Director of Purchasing for Nissan’s Mexico operations, as well as Director of Purchasing for Logistics and Aftermarket/Accessory Parts for the Americas Region. Prior to joining Nissan, Chris held logistics management positions in auto parts retail and third party automotive logistics companies in the US and Mexico.

Previous, Roberto worked as Sales Manager at the Genesee & Wyoming Railroad in Mexico. He is an accredited civil engineer from the National University of Mexico and holds an MSc in Management of Logistics and Transportation from the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

He has held his current position at Kansas City Southern de Mexico (KCSM) since April 2006 and has over 40 years of experience in government relations and legal affairs, as well as in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining KCSM, he was Legal and Government Relations Director at ExxonMobil Mexico for nine years. José is a former President of the Mexican Association of Railways and of the Mexican Transport Council and in 2016 was appointed President of the Binational Board of Directors at the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce.

Achim is a passionate business developer and has been working for Kuehne + Nagel for 20 years in various positions and locations. A professional freight forwarder with particular expertise in sea freight and air freight, he has been directing the company’s global automotive business since May 2015 and has developed a deep understanding of the sector. Achim holds a degree in economics from Germany’s oldest private business school for transportation and foreign trade (DAV) as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management studies from Oxford Brookes University in England. In 2005, he was awarded an Executive MBA in Logistics from the University of St Gallen, in Switzerland.
