Clayton moves from his role as director of IT at the company, which he has held for the past three years. He has more than 12 years of IT management experience, including periods with payments technology provider, Ameriflex, and Sumner County Schools in Tennessee.
The company said that in his new role, he would be responsible for the overall leadership of the company’s evolving and growing IT department, including architecture and infrastructure services, enterprise applications, networking and telecommunications. He will also help develop strategic IT recommendations and consult on tech-focused mergers and acquisitions.
“Even though we’re in the transportation and logistics industry, innovation is at the heart of our operations,” said William Billiter, co-founder and managing partner. “Craig has done a great job keeping us at the leading edge of technology, and we are pleased to promote him to vice-president.”
Since then, the company has been bought by private equity firm Tailwind Capital for an undisclosed sum.
