MarcelaLuisPiva_FordSAMarcelo Luis Piva (pictured) will take up the role of director of supply chain and logistics at Ford’s division in South America from the beginning of next year. He takes over from Edson Molina, who has held the position since 2007.

Piva is currently Ford’s Sao Barnardo Cars final assembly manager where he is responsible for final assembly production processes for the Ka and Fiesta models sold in Brazil and Argentina. He has been in the role for more than four years and has worked for Ford since 1998 in a range of positions including in manufacturing engineering and plant quality.

Molina, meanwhile, has 30 years’ experience within the automotive industry and has been responsible for production planning, supply chain and vehicle logistics management, and strategy development. Ford has not yet announced Molina’s next move.
