Supply chain software provider ProAct International is now working with rail information management specialist RMI to provide enhanced supply chain management services for the automotive sector in the US, Canada and Latin America.

The agreement, which was first announced last August, brings together ProAct’s multi-modal supply chain technology and RMI’s market expertise and hosting capabilities.

The companies used the latter end of 2009 refining their joint offering which is targeted at carriers, shippers and manufacturers across a wide range of markets including automotive (one of ProAct’s largest markets). With its background in rail, RMI is also planning to enhance door-to-door supply chain capabilities available to rail-based shippers.

"We are extremely pleased to have a quality organisation such as RMI representing ProAct in the Americas. This partnership will help us achieve greater market penetration and recognition particularly in the Americas and will ultimately strengthen our supply chain software solution offering and services globally" stated Garth Parker, Chairman of ProAct.
