At Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Global 2024, Sid Philar, senior manager of Global Logistics Procurement at Lucid Motors shared valuable insights into creating win-win partnerships in the automotive supply chain.

Philar emphasised that effective logistics partnerships hinge on the right IT investments, fair contract negotiations and robust communication processes. “It’s about ongoing communication and regular feedback in areas like pricing and operations,” he explained, highlighting the importance of a collaborative approach.

To foster successful partnerships, Philar stressed the need for strong leadership engagement. He noted that having teams across operations, material planning and IT working together is essential for effective integration and standardised contracts. “It’s a two-way street; it’s not just about squeezing the supplier,” he said, underscoring the need for mutual benefits.
