Together with our customers, ABP offers the automotive industry access to a global transportation network.
We operate the UK’s two leading automotive ports of Southampton and the Humber. Between them, they handle almost 2m vehicles every year. Both facilities are uniquely positioned to offer easy access to European and global markets.
ABP’s ports, combined with our unique geographical coverage, offer our customers unrivalled access to the UK’s key manufacturing and distribution hubs through major road, rail and sea networks.
Our aim is to help our customers reduce transport times by streamlining their supply chains. ABP will work with you to optimise cost efficiencies using our world-class facilities, extensive handling experience and performance-tracked quality assurance processes.
Our priority is ensuring customers’ vehicles are transported efficiently through our ports and on to both home and global markets.
As our customers evolve, so do we. That’swhy we are in the midst of a five-year, £1 billion ($1.34 billion) investment programme designed to deliver enhanced facilities to accommodate our customers’ growing requirements.
Through this extensive investment programme, we are directly addressing the need for more space for our automotive customers.
We have created 15,000 additional spaces in Southampton and 37,000 on the Humber and there are many more in the pipeline.
ABP’s unique combination of connected port locations and in-house funding enables us to finance and deliver bespoke facilities for our customers. Our experienced specialist team has best-in-class knowledge and capability in every stage of the design and build process, delivering seamless build-to-suit programmes, such as the £50m investment in new vehicle handling terminals at the port of Southampton.
