The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) is a marine cargo partnership of the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, USA. Customer-focused and performance driven, we are the gateway to solutions for automobile shipments to and from the Pacific Northwest, western Canada, the Midwest and Alaska/Hawaii.

NWSA has been handling import auto shipments for over forty years.    Two full-service auto processors operate facilities near port terminals.  Auto Warehousing Company features a state-of-the-art building where it performs inspection, installation and logistic services essential to the auto industry. Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions operates a brand-new 90-acre vehicle processing terminal that opened in December 2018, increasing auto handling capacity at the port by more than 100,000 units annually. Both facilities are rail served via the two Class I railroads, the BNSF Railway and the Union Pacific Railroad.

The world’s leading ro-ro carriers connect our facilities with markets around the globe.  “K” Line, MOL, NYK Line, Glovis Ocean, EUKOR, World Logistics Service, and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean deliver fast and frequent service for shipments between Asia and other major import/export automobile markets.

We pride ourselves on our ability to handle high-and-heavy cargo on ro-ro ships as well as autos.
