Martin Weiss

Mahle Behr

Martin has over 20 years of automotive supply chain experience. Prior to joining Mahle Behr USA in 2002 (formerly Behr Automotive) he worked in logistics and strategic purchasing functions in Latin America and Europe. He is now responsible for packaging development, new project launch logistics, supply chain process optimisation and systems, transport, customs and trade compliance, warehousing, inventory and material crisis management.

Matthias Schulz
Director North America Material Planning & Logistics

Matthias joined Ford in 1987. He has worked in material planning and logistics since 1996, and has held various functions within IT. He became Director of Material Planning and Logistics in 2009 and his responsibilities include product definition, supply chain management, plant logistics, inbound logistics and material flow. He holds a Master of Science in Mathematics.

Albert Zapanta

The Mexico Chamber of Commerce, headed by Albert, has operations in 17 regional offices throughout the United States and Mexico. He has held a variety of senior public and private sector roles including ARCO where he served for 18 years. He was a member of the Department of State′s Advisory Committee on International Trade, delegate to the U.S.-Mexico Partnership for Prosperity, and Chairman of the Reserve Forces Policy Board. His exemplary military service resulted in a Silver Star award, five Bronze Stars for Valor, the Purple Heart and thirty other awards for service during the Vietnam War. He rose to the rank of Major General. Albert is a graduate of Harvard School of Business, and the University of Southern California with a BA, MA and PhD. He currently serves on the boards of various non-profit organizations.

John Begg

In his current role, John has introduced programs for Magna Powertrain that set the standard for excellence within the entire Magna North American supply chain operation. He has over 20 years experience in automotive and 3PLs, working with Ryder, Lear Corporation and CRH. John holds an MBA from Spring Arbor College and a BBA from the University of Toledo.

Michael Silvio
Senior Director, Supply Chain Management  
Cooper Standard

Mike has 25 years’ experience in global supply chain management, the last 14 of which have been at global tier one automotive supplier, Cooper Standard. He is currently responsible for global logistics, customs and packaging engineering, as well as being the corporate delivery champion for its major OEM customers. Mike has been a faculty member at Wayne State University for the past 14 years and sits on the board of directors of EWI Worldwide.
