Paul Kauth, a provider of punching and forming technology, is expanding its partnership with Infor. The software provider is supporting Kauth with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) package for order processing and production logistics that includes Infor’s LN Automotive and ION middleware technology.
Infor LN Automotive is a system for order processing and production logistics, including a project management module that helps bring transparency to costs, according to the company. Meanwhile, Infor ION supports the integration of interface systems used by third parties, as well as its own, through the exchange of XML documents. The package is complemented with Infor’s business intelligence system Infor BI.
“With the use of these new solutions, Kauth is going to harmonise its IT landscape and will be enabled to reflect, accelerate and expedite more and more complex processes,” said Infor in a statement.
Kauth chose Infor from five shortlisted vendors because it could provide prefabricated automotive templates for process modeling to accelerate the implementation phase.
“We were looking for a complete system that soundly reflects typical processes,” said Steffan May, commercial manager at Paul Kauth. “Infor could provide the most convincing system, and also had an interesting approach with Infor ION on how to connect other systems, such as time management."
The company said that the system should be fully introduced by February 2014.
Infor said its customers include 84 out of the top 100 automotive suppliers.
