Following a successful partnership in Europe, agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO is to team up again with supply chain software and services provider 4flow to digitise its supply chain in China.
In October last year, the two companies became the 33rd winner of BVL’s German Award for Supply Chain Management for successfully digitising AGCO’s inbound supply chain, which included 4flow taking responsibility for transport network design and optimisation and freight cost invoicing.
The project streamlined inbound flows for AGCO's entire network, while using 4flow’s cloud-based integrated Transportation Management System (iTMS) to reduce costs by more than 25% and increase on-time delivery by 10%. They also managed to reduce days of supply by 24%, cut carbon emissions by 14% and increase process compliance by 15%.
4flow said it would support the move to digitise AGCO’s supply chain in China from its location in Shanghai. "With our teams in China and Europe, we are able to take both local and global requirements into account,” said Julian Schulcz, executive vice-president at 4flow.
