Following the news that Steve Tripp has retired from his role as head of worldwide vehicle transportation at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) the company has confirmed that Marc Brazeau (left) has now stepped into the role.
Brazeau moves to FCA from his role as director at cross industry business consultancy AlixPartners, based in Detroit, where he has worked for almost two and a half years. He reports to Bill Cook, head of worldwide logistics and customs at the FCA, who has been filling in the role Tripp left in February on an interim basis.
In his new role at FCA Brazeau is responsible for all activities at FCA’s Worldwide Vehicle Transportation department. This includes developing logistics strategy, designing and optimising networks, purchasing transport services, controlling logistics operations and ensuring supply chain quality standards are met.
Previously, Brazeau held positions on both sides of the supply chain: in the supplier community with Canadian Pacific Railway, and previously with the carmaker when it was DaimlerChrysler, before moving into global management consulting.
Prior to his time at AlixPartners he was principal/founder at ADMi Supply Chain Solutions, which provides strategic purchasing advice, benchmarking and business intelligence support to the global petrochemical, automotive, and consumer products industries.
Brazeau is also former chairman of the AIAG's Finished Vehicle Supply Chain Visibility committee and has published several industry benchmarking studies, contributed to supply chain publication articles, and has been a regular panellist or speaker at a number of global supply chain conferences.
