Christian_MoertlChristian Mörtl (pictured) is taking up the role of managing director of operations and finance at time:matters, the freight expeditor subsidiary of Germany’s Lufthansa Cargo. Mörtl moves from his previous role as head of aircraft handling at the parent company and succeeds Armin Hamm, who left time:matters at the end of May after a three-year tenure in the role.

Mörtl has extensive management experience in a number of logistics roles at Lufthansa and at Schott Glas.

“We are delighted to have gained a true logistics expert for our company with Christian Mörtl,” said Franz-Joseph Miller, managing director of time:matters. “Besides his proven operational expertise, what he especially brings is the right entrepreneurial spirit for time:matters and a passion for quality and service that will continue to drive our team forward.”

The company operates its own courier terminal for express and courier shipments at Frankfurt Airport.

Back in May, it announced it was expanding its US operation with the integration of United Airlines into its Sameday 24-hour international delivery network.
