UK-based time-sensitive logistics services supplier, Evolution Time Critical (ETC), has expanded its North American control centre in Atlanta, adding what it terms “significant numbers” of additional staff in response to growing demand from the automotive sector.

The Atlanta, Georgia office was only established late last year. Since then, demand for ETC’s premium freight services has exceeded expectation, leading to the recruitment of additional operations and senior business development staff, the company said.

ETC managing director Brad Brennan said demand was being driven by “the automotive industry’s increasing need to protect its operations amid challenges posed by production intensity, supply chain complexity and higher risk strategies”, adding that the automotive sector was “hugely important” to the company.

He declined to go into detail about the change in staffing levels, however, or to name any recent customer or contract wins.

The expansion in Atlanta is ETC’s third in recent months, following the establishment of its first location in the US and the introduction of its Critical Projects service earlier this year.

Its various recent expansions all follow the company’s takeover by Canadian 3PL Metro Supply Chain Group early last year, something Brennan said had “provided a financial platform” for global expansion.
