Frank McGuigan, CEO of TransplaceNorth American transport management and logistics technology provider, Transplace, has appointed Frank McGuigan (pictured) as its new CEO, replacing Tom Sanderson, who moves to the role of executive chairman and will serve on the company’s board of directors.

McGuigan has been with Transplace since 2011 and most recently served as the company’s president and chief operating officer, running all of sales and operations in North America. He joined Transplace when it took over SCO Logistics, of which he was previously CEO.

“Frank has shown exceptional leadership in helping Transplace grow into a leading provider of transportation management solutions and logistics technology, and this is the perfect time for him to become Transplace’s next chief executive officer,” said Sanderson.

Sanderson has been CEO at Transplace for more than 14 years and joined the company in 2003 when he moved from Clicklogistics. He has 37 years of experience in the logistics technology, third-party logistics (3PL) and transport industries.

In August last year, Transplace’s management signed an agreement with TPG Capital to buy the company from Greenbriar Equity.
