Supply Chain Conference: Delegate votes show gaps in logistics digitalisation

Delegates at this year's conference in Atlanta voted that automotive logistics has a ways to go to catch up to the benefits of connected technology, while they also expect big changes to come from autonomous vehicles. They also showed that, when it comes to haircuts, supply chain professionals are very open minded

Delegates at the 2017 Supply Chain Conference voted live on questions composed by sponsors of the event as well by the Automotive Logistics team, allowing the event to take the pulse of around 150 experts across the automotive supply chain management and logistics sector in North America and beyond.

The vote suggested that the industry needs to do more to catch up with other sectors in areas like the internet of things or predictive analytics – although signs of investment and interest in such areas are clearly growing.
