Wolfgang Göbel has been appointed to the position of chief sales officer at Mosolf Group. He will also join the board of management.
The newly-created position is designed to ensure the long-term success of Mosolf and acknowledge the many years of service that Göbel has given the company.
Göbel has been working at Mosolf for more than 36 years. He started his career as an assistant to the management team and later became head of the sales, marketing and logistics department.
In his new position, he will be responsible for all sales activities and the long-term sales strategy of the group. At the same time, he will maintain his previous positions within the company. That includes his position as managing director of the Mosolf subsidiaries: Mosolf Automotive Railway, Mosolf Benelux and SAT Sächsische Autotransport und Service.
Dr Jörg Mosolf, managing partner and chief executive officer of the Mosolf Group, said: “Mr Göbel has acquired an excellent reputation both at home and abroad through his outstanding work. His expertise is much in demand as a board member and vice-president of the Association of European Vehicle Logistics (ECG). We’re providing the foundation for long-term success with the newly created position and we’re making it very clear at the same time that there are no restrictions on the development potential within the Mosolf Group.”
This news comes as Costantino Baldissara, commercial and logistics director of the Grimaldi Group, is to step down from his position as president of the European Finished Vehicle Logistics Association (ECG). Göbel will be nominated by the board to replace Baldissara, who has been president of the association since 2009.
Göbel has been a board member at ECG since 2003, and vice-president since 2009.
