Thomas Blank has taken up a new role at integrated logistics provider Agility as managing director of Area Central Europe. He replaces Thomas Peikert who has left the company after 23 years.
Blank moves from his previous role as vice-president and managing director of Geodis Global Solutions for the Asia Pacific region. He will return to Germany after an eight-year residency in Asia.
In his new role, Blank is responsible for defining growth strategies and identifying development opportunities in Germany, Benelux and Poland and is member of the Agility GIL Europe Management Board.
He has more than 30 years experience in international and domestic freight forwarding and production and logistics. As well as his most recent position at Geodis Wilson he has held senior management roles at Panalpina and UTi.
