XPO Logistics has named Pascal Born (pictured) as business development director for industrial and automotive.
Born is responsible for supporting XPO’s in-country sales teams in expanding the company’s industrial and automotive base.
He joins the logistics provider from industrial equipment manufacturer Caterpillar, where he spent 25 years. He was predominantly involved in engine division aftersales, where he was responsible for key account management of original equipment manufacturers.
His most recent role was as business development director for Caterpillar Logistics, now Neovia Logistics, charged with developing European business with blue chip companies in the automotive and industrial sectors.
The global logistics group has also announced the appointment of Mark Wilkinson as senior vice-president of sales. He will be responsible for XPO’s sales performance in Europe and for sector-based services to customers.
He leads a team of vertical business development directors in Europe and will report to Malcolm Wilson, managing director of supply chain for Europe.
Wilkinson previously worked at Exel Logistics (now DHL Supply Chain), where he most recently served as business development and strategy director responsible for defining and executing growth strategies with a focus on the industrial, aerospace, and oil and gas sectors.
