Ceva Logistics has released a new package of IT solutions based on the Ceva Matrix transportation management solution (TMS), which it purports will drive down costs and improve delivery performance for customers, including those in the automotive industry.
The package was developed to improve efficiency across the group’s international logistics platforms, and is intended for use by large and small businesses alike. Updated GPS tracking systems are now available, as is fleet and asset management, along with dispatching rotas. The system can function on Windows Mobile, iOS and Android devices.
Enabling electronic signatures, real-time shipment tracking, proof-of-delivery receipts and damaged goods flow management, the group hopes to enhance the end-user experience and increase its profile as a dynamic global provider.
Vittorio Aronica, senior vice president of IS&S for Ceva’s Americas region, commented: “The proliferation of mobile devices and global growth of internet accessibility has encouraged businesses to re-evaluate their online business model. Selling online puts a business’ fulfillment strategy under the microscope. By delivering better visibility across the supply chain, our customers will see operational savings, increased efficiency and a unique customer experience.”
