DHL’s air and ocean freight division, Global Forwarding, has appointed Graham Hunter as the new head of its Industrial Projects division in Europe. He moves over from his role as vice-president of Industrial Projects in the Middle East.
DHL Industrial Projects delivers a broad range of services for heavyweight and regular cargo movements across various industries. Services include moving cargo from ex works to project locations, including import customs clearance and final delivery to job site. A recent example was the delivery of construction machinery from German firm GT Günter Papenburg to Ghana.
Hunter will be responsible for business growth in Europe and will be based in Poyle, in the UK. He reports directly to Nikola Hagleitner, CEO Industrial Projects.
“We are confident that under Graham Hunter’s leadership Industrial Projects’ solid customer base will continue to grow in Europe,” said Hagleitner. “Due to his track record and expertise, we trust to have found the right person to turn around challenges we are facing in some countries into opportunities. Together, we will establish DHL Industrial Projects firmly as a market leader in the project forwarding industry.
Hunter started his career in the logistics industry and has held various positions in the industrial projects business, including at Kuehne + Nagel and Panalpina. In 2010, he joined DHL as a member of the CSI Global Customer Solutions team.
