Mark Ilijanic (pictured) has been appointed senior vice-president for parts and vehicle logistics at Volkswagen Group of America, overseeing the operations of logistics and distribution for the Volkswagen and Audi brands.
He will report directly to Anu Goel, who last September was promoted from the VP parts and vehicle logistics position to executive VP of group aftersales and services, overseeing the company’s aftersales strategy.
Ilijanic has more than 17 years of experience in the industry and joined Volkswagen Group of America in 2000. Most recently, he served as VP, remarketing at Volkswagen Credit.
He earned a BSc in education, focused in mathematics from Oakland University and an MSc in management from Walsh College.
Said Goel: “We are excited to welcome Mark to his new position. His broad experience in the automotive industry and his proven leadership skills will help foster relationships and support meeting the needs of our dealers and customers.”
Volkswagen of America is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia. Its US operations include vehicle processing, parts distribution centres, sales, marketing and service offices, financial service centres, and its manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
