Susan Moritz has joined US-based finished vehicle logistics provider MetroGistics as vice-president of business development. She will be responsible for leading the company’s OEM and ‘mega-dealer’ business segments and developing further growth.
Moritz has more than 25 years’ automotive industry experience. Her last role was with e-commerce provider Cox Automotive, where she was also vice-president of business development – a role she held for nearly eight years. She has also worked for Finance Express, Kar Auction Services and Adesa.
Moritz has published articles in Auto Remarketing and Used Car News. She was also named a Women in Remarketing honoree by Auto Remarketing in 2016.
“We are extremely pleased that Susan has joined our senior management team,” said Scott Naz, co-founder and managing partner of MetroGistics. “She has a well-earned reputation in the auto industry as a dynamic and creative leader, and will help take MetroGistics to new levels of success.”
MetroGistics provides finished vehicle logistics services to a wide range of OEM and remarketed automotive customers through a network of nearly 3,400 third-party carriers. It also provides services for car rental companies Hertz, Enterprise and Avis.
It was bought by private equity firm Tailwind Capital for an undisclosed sum in October last year.
Earlier this year, the company acquired AmeriFleet to expand its portfolio of services to include driveaway, trucking, storage, title and registration, compliance and other fleet-related services.
