Martin Wehner (pictured, left) has been appointed as the new head of Hellmann Automotive Logistics following the retirement of Bernd Oevermann (right), a 30-year company veteran and founder of Hellmann Automotive Logistics.
Wehner, who takes over on October 31st, has worked for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics for 15 years.
He began his career in 2002 as a team leader in air and ocean freight at the Hamburg site. In 2005, he joined the Automotive Unit in the Osnabrück Group headquarters. There, he developed automotive manufacturer and supplier business, particularly in the Asian region as a global sales manager, according to a company statement.
He is also said to have played an important role in establishing Hellmann Automotive in the market for contract logistics.
Hellmann Automotive is a full-service automotive logistics provider, offering services on multiple transport modes as well as storage, procurement, customs clearance and other value-added services.
