Tata Motors’ outbound logistics and sales division – TML Distribution – has appointed Achal Palatal (pictured) as its new CEO.
Paliwal moves from his position as country head in India for OTS Australia, the freight forwarding and logistics provider, and replaces Prem Verma, who has moved to a new position at TML Distribution in financial services.
Prior to his two-year role with OTS Australia, Paliwal was head of logistics and export for Honda Cars India for almost nine years. He joined Honda as a commercial manager with responsibility for the development of a dealer distribution management system one year after obtaining an MBA but quickly took over the outbound logistics function.
Paliwal also worked for 19 years as finished vehicle logistics manager at Maruti Suzuki.
Verma has more than 25 years in sales and marketing experience, managing different product lines ranging from lighting products, consumer electronics with Philips and commercial vehicles with Tata, prior to his most recent role with the company.
