Designed to improve network planning and lead-time visibility, Project Velos replaces historical average lead times with real-time, confirmed data from logistics partners. This allows Toyota to prioritise vehicle distribution and reduce inventory, further strengthening its famed just-in-time and build-to-order processes.
Deville said that through Toyota’s mega hub and insourcing complex vehicle accessory fitting, Toyota has achieved better quality and process control. The integration of digital instructions supports team members with detailed, step-by-step guidance, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
