During the ALSC Digital Strategies Europe conference in Munich, Paulina Chmielarz outlined JLR’s progress in its expansive digital transformation journey. The initiatives include integrating advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and SAP S/4HANA, coupled with strategic process changes and complementary innovations. These projects are reshaping how JLR manages its industrial operations and data-driven decision-making.
Chmielarz highlighted that while foundational platforms are well underway, the focus is now on advancing data products and enhancing the capabilities of these systems. She also delved into JLR’s cautious yet exploratory approach to generative AI. Though not yet deployed at scale, the company is testing its application in areas like operator support and maintenance processes, prioritising safety, quality, and customer trust.
