FVL carrying the weight

Vehicle logistics has had to respond swiftly to market and network changes in the past two years, from adapting to online sales, working through highly unpredictable production schedules to managing an escalating driver shortage. As sales and production ramp up, OEMs and vehicle logistic providers will need to plan, track and communicate across every leg of the distribution process to ensure the right transport capacity is in place and that lead time expectations are met across handovers, accessory installation and final customer delivery.

With OEMs and providers facing cost, labour and equipment challenges, this session explores solutions for how to prevent outbound logistics becoming a bottleneck in the recovery. It will also explore the lessons learned and how the sector can avoid future crises.
