On the final day of Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Europe Automotive Logistics’ Chief Content Officer Christopher Ludwig reflected on a transformative two and a half days in Bonn.

With over 450 attendees, this 22nd edition brought together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to address the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the European supply chains, from digitalisation and AI to sustainability and strategic partnerships.

Day 2 focused on long-term vision and collaboration. Gisela Linge from Autoliv shared a roadmap for a fully digitalised supply chain, integrating GenAI to enhance decision-making and streamline operations. Levent Yuksel from JLR highlighted progress in alternative fuels, while also calling for stronger collaboration between OEMs, governments, and logistics providers to accelerate change. Discussions with tier-one suppliers and logistics providers reinforced the need for information sharing, using both cutting-edge digital tools and trusted partnerships to build resilience.  

Closing the event, Ludwig echoed a powerful message from Chris Payne, GKN Automotive, urging industry leaders to “be brave—try new tools, trust your partners to implement new solutions and build the scale and demand around that”.

With ALSC Europe 2025 setting the stage for bold transformation, the industry now looks ahead to the next phase of evolution, as collaboration, technology, and sustainability reshape the future of automotive logistics.
