Last night, Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Europe welcomed over 450 automotive and supply chain leaders to the Kameha Grand Bonn, Germany. Automotive Logistics’ Chief Content Officer, Christopher Ludwig, took a moment away from the bustling Welcome Cocktail Reception to give us a preview of what’s in store for the next few days.
The conference opened with a crucial conversation on talent diversity and skills development within the automotive industry. We heard from the likes of Saba Azizi from CATL, who highlighted the opportunities for professionals from diverse backgrounds, while Martin Corner, Aston Martin, shared insights on building a strategic supply chain function that attracts top talent and influences the broader business landscape.
The Welcome Coctkail Reception offered the perfect setting for industry experts to network, catch up with peers, and prepare for the important discussions ahead. The next few days promise engaging conversations on transparency, digitalisation, and sustainability, alongside deep-dive sessions on service parts logistics, finished vehicle logistics, and, for the first time, automotive packaging.
Reflecting on the event’s mission, Ludwig stated, “We’re bringing everyone together to ensure the automotive logistics supply chain remains competitive in this hyper-competitive and challenging time.” This sentiment aligns with the conference theme: Adapt and Deliver – Co-creating a win-win automotive supply chain.
