BNSF Logistics, the third party logistics subsidiary of the North American rail provider, is moving its global headquarters from Grapevine in Texas to the Lakeside Business District at Flower Mound, on the north side of Grapevine Lake.
The new location, which BNSF will take up in November this year, will cover 3,530 square metres, with approximately 2,500 square metres taken up by warehousing and the remainder taken up by offices.
The company said the move is being made to accommodate recent growth.
In December last year BNSF Logistics bought EP-Team in Flower Mound, a privately-held global logistics cargo provider with offices worldwide. It also bought Toronto-based Albacor Shipping, a global project and general cargo provider.
Amongst services for the automotive industry the division offers its CarsOnTrack service provide terminal-to-terminal services for volume shipments as well as door-to-door services for priority shipments.
