The Mexican division of US packaging firm Bradford – Bradford de Mexico (BdM) – has opened a plant for the supply of automotive packaging in Querétaro, in the central region of the country.
The company said the newly built facility, which has room for expansion, would make custom returnable packaging for carmakers and their suppliers.
Bradford provides steel racks, moulded plastic containers, custom fabricated totes and paper-based boxes and partitions. Along with the manufacture of those products, the new plant will include a design centre and a certified package testing laboratory.
The latest facility is Bradford’s fourth major investment since 2011. It has a Canadian facility in London, Ontario, and has expanded operations in Apodaca and Gallatin, both in the US state of Tennessee.
“This new plant, along with our multiple operations in the USA and Canada, gives us an unmatched footprint in North America and continues our mission to protect both our customers’ products and reputation,” said Tom Bradford, president and CEO of the company.
The Automotive Logistics Mexico conference takes place later this month, from January 31st to February 2nd. Learn more about the conference and register.
