Steve Hughes, vice president of government affairs, supplier development and logistics at aftermarket brake parts supplier Centric Parts, has been appointed to the Manufacturers’ Advisory Council at the California Automotive Wholesalers' Association (CAWA).
CAWA is an automotive aftermarket trade association, which represents automotive parts workers, retailers, warehouse distributors, manufacturers and programme groups.
Hughes was appointed by the chair of the Board of Directors at CAWA, Ron Aparicio. “We are pleased to have Mr Hughes serve in a leadership role for the Association and welcome him to the Manufacturers’ Advisory Council,” he said.
Hughes has been part of the auto care industry for over 40 years, holding positions with IMPAC, HCS International and Advanced Engine Management before joining Centric in 2006.
“It is a great honour for Centric Parts, and for myself personally, to be asked to participate in CAWA in this way,” stated Hughes. “The whole Centric team has taken a very active role in helping the industry on many fronts, and we are always glad to participate when asked.”
