Goodyear’s Turkish division, Goodyear Lastikleri TAS, has chosen Ceva Logistics to be its logistics provider, providing full truck load (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) distribution services from the tyre maker’s Adapazari and Izmit plants to dealers and automotive manufacturers throughout the country.
In all Ceva anticipates distributing around 45,000 tonnes of tyres a year for the company.
It will also provide micro distribution for Goodyear Lastikleri from its branches throughout Turkey.
Aslan Uzun, Ceva’s general manager for Turkey and the Balkans, said: “We believe that our unique one-way distribution network was one of the key elements that motivated Goodyear’s choice to choose Ceva as a logistics partner.
“We presented a perfect match-up for them with regards to the strategic location of our branches throughout Turkey and the effective micro distribution to other customers,” continued Uzun. “Our tailored-support and distribution experience with Goodyear in Spain, Greece and Italy gives us confidence that the future efficiency improvements we have proposed in Turkey will enable us to meet any urgent demands.”
