Howard Chang has moved from his role as delivery quality engineer at Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) to become manager of vehicle logistics and port operations. He replaces Justin Newell, who left the company last September and now has a position at as operations manager at Reliable Carriers, one of North America’s leading enclosed vehicle carriers, based in Canton, Indiana.

Chang first joined PCNA in 2003 as a warranty analyst and since then moved through a couple of regulatory affairs roles to reach delivery quality engineer in 2012. He took up the role of manager of vehicle logistics and port operations in October last year but PCNA has only just confirmed the move.

Newell was with Porsche Cars North America for almost 14 years, having started there in 2000 as senior inventory and procurement analyst. He held a number of senior positions, including manager of procurement and supplier contracts for more than seven years.

Porsche AG increased deliveries by 17% in 2014 to almost 190,000 and, according to Matthias Müller, chairman of the Executive Board, a “crucial cornerstone” for increase was the Macan midsize SUV crossover, which accounted for 45,000 deliveries.

PCNA confirmed in January that it will boost inventory of its Macan for dealers in the US to meet increased demand from customers.
