Camille Chism, SCM packaging engineer at tier supplier Johnson Controls (JCI), is to be inducted into the Institute of Packaging Professionals’ College of Fellows as part of its 2014 Honors and Awards programme.
College of Fellows membership is given by the IoPP Board of Directors in recognition of special and outstanding contributions and service to the packaging industry. According to the IoPP such contributions and service should typify the knowledge, skills and conduct of the dedicated professional.
Each nominee needs to have been an IoPP member in good standing for an uninterrupted period of at least ten years, and be a certified packaging professional (CPP).
Chism, who has been in her current role at JCI for more than three years, has more than 20 years expertise in the packaging industry, including at Chrysler, UPS, Hewlett-Packard and Weyerhauser.
“I am honoured to be inducted into the College of Fellows and it is rewarding to be acknowledged for my work in the field of packaging engineering,” she told Automotive Logistics.
She will join other recipients of IoPP honours at the AmeriStar/Visionary Awards Reception on June 10 during the EastPack Conference in New York.
