Yusen Logistics Mexico, a third-party logistics provider, has appointed Jordan Dewart (pictured) as its new president. He replaces Hiroshi Shimizu, who has moved to a new role as president of Yusen Logistics India.
In his new position, Dewart will have responsibility for Yusen Logistics Mexico’s overall performance, including sales, business development and all corporate functions. He will also oversee the construction of the company’s Baijo Logistics Center, a 5,100 sq.m facility that will serve Mexico’s growing automotive manufacturing industry.
Dewart will report to Ken Miyoshi, president and CEO of Yusen Logistics (America), chief regional officer, and a member of the board of directors.
Dewart has worked at Yusen for the past 18 years, most recently serving as vice-president of Yusen Logistics Mexico. Since 1995, he has lived and worked across North America. During this time he has gained expertise in NAFTA customs requirements, asset and non-asset based surface transport – trucking and intermodal – and global ocean and air freight forwarding.
