Former Ceva CEO David Kulik has been appointed chairman of the board at Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT). He will be in charge for a one-year term from October 1st and has said he wants to continue efforts to increase the amount of cargo business at the port by attracting more customers and building a bigger market share for Jacksonville in the international trade arena.

While reporting directly to Schleicher, Raul will oversee trade development for the automotive portion of our business,” said JAXPORT spokesperson Nancy Rubin. “Under Raul's direction, Alberto Cabrera, director of cargo sales for JAXPORT, will continue to have direct responsibility for automotive business development and customer service efforts.”
Talking about his new role Alfonso said: “I look forward to years of success at JAXPORT, as we become one of the best strategic options for the container cargo, automobile (ro-ro), break bulk and bulk cargo commodities in the US South Atlantic region. Our goal is to make JAXPORT and the City of Jacksonville 'America's Logistics Center' to serve the fastest-growing market in the nation."
Before joining JAXPORT in 2002, Alfonso was Hutchison Port Holdings director of marketing and trade development for the Americas.
