Montway is providing customers shipment information via a web portal

Ship.Cars provides custom software tools for shippers and carriers designed to streamline, automate and organise vehicle shipments from factory to end customer.

Montway, a third-party vehicle logistics broker, said the tracking technology provided by Ship.Cars is fed through to the end customer, who receives an email with a link to a web page that contains order status, shipment, carrier and driver information, estimated delivery date, and inspection documents. The service means Montway’s customers can access shipment information quickly and do not need to call drivers or service representatives for shipment status updates.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve the customer experience, and providing real-time shipping status has been one of our top priorities,” said Mark Scholl, executive vice-president of operations and retail sales at Montway Auto Transport. “This new feature puts more power in the hands of the customer, offering greater peace of mind with 24/7 visibility of their order, from dispatch through delivery.”

Montway said it plans to introduce a generative AI chatbot on the status tracking page in the coming months, which will be capable of answering a wide range of questions related to automotive logistics.
