Geodis Logistics has appointed Andrea Metzger as managing director of its northern European operations. Metzger will assume responsibility for the logistics services within Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands. She will consolidate Geodis’s growth across Northern Europe, a region with a prevalence of large ports.
Metzger graduated from the European Business School, and has previously worked at Price Waterhouse before moving to Dyckerhoff AC, joining Geodis in 1999. She worked as financial director, before progressing to the role of managing director of Geodis in Germany.
Geodis operates from 20 warehouses totalling 400,000 square meters, with its North European sector employing 1,300 workers. It manages logistics flows for over 1,500 customers.
