Toby Grey, former managing director of TNT Brazil, is to take up a new role at logistics provider Syncreon on January 6 next year as senior vice president for South America. He will assume responsibility for Syncreonís current operations and new business growth in South America for both the automotive and technology sectors, said the company.
ìWe are pleased to announce the appointment of Toby Grey as the SVP of Syncreon South America,î said a spokesperson for the company. ìToby has more than 20 years of related experience primarily in TNT and DHL with extensive experience in Brazil, and is fluent in Portuguese and other languages.î
As reported by Automotive Logistics earlier this year, Grey was brought in by TNT as a turnaround specialist to help stabilise the companyís Brazil unit before handing over the reins to the present CEO Ignacio Garat back in January.
Between February and November this year Grey has been a business consultant for the transport and logistics sectors in the region, working on projects with domestic and international operators.
