Haah Automotive Holdings, a vehicle distributor for Zoyte USA, the US division of Chinese carmaker Zotye Automobile International, has announced a cloud-based platform powered by Oracle Netsuite to manage sales and distribution of vehicles and parts in the US.
According to Haah, the platform will provide a single view of the entire supply chain from production to delivery, and inventory management, with web and mobile analytic reporting.
It combines enterprise resource planning (ERP) and a dealer management system (DMS) able to handle sales, vehicle and service parts distribution, dealer operations and management systems, as well as a range of other customer services, including finance and warranty.
“Dealers can prepare and aggregate their data in less time and spend more time making business decisions and business process improvements,” said Haah’s chief information officer, Yvonne Burkhouse. She added that major software updates would be provided twice a year along with minor updates from the cloud, which would make the system “obsolescence proof”.
Last year Zotye Automobile set up a US sales and distribution base in Lake Forest, California, in partnership with Haah Automotive Holdings, with the goal of selling vehicles in the US from 2020, most likely beginning with a compact or mid-size SUV.
Discussions between Haah and Zotye about the franchise arrangement took four years to come to fruition but comes at a time when Chinese-made cars are subject to 25% US import tax.
