Jörn Hasenfuss is the new head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Procurement division, replacing Rüdiger Koch who is taking up a new role within the VW Group.

Hasenfuss, who is now member of the Management Board for the division, moves over from his role as first vice-president and commercial executive vice president of Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive, a role he has held since 2009.

Having joined VW in 1987, Hasenfuss has held a number of leading positions in procurement since 1993.

He moved over to Audi in Ingolstadt as head of Commodity Metal in 1999 but returned to VW in 2002, where he was responsible for project control and procurement on the A class before becoming head of Worldwide Product Procurement for interiors.

Rüdiger Koch has been with Volkswagen since 1985 and amongst a range of jobs over that time has been head of the Groups Worldwide Product Procurement for Power Train and member of the Board of Management for Procurement of VW de Mexico, responsible for the entire North American procurement market. Koch joined the board of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in 2011, followed by his appointment as member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for Procurement in 2012.
