Gefco UK has announced that it will continue to provide a range of services to Honda Motor Europe Logistics and has signed a new three-year contract with the company.
Under the latest agreement, Gefco UK will manage inbound parts supply, weekly groupage, less-than-truckload (LTL) and full truckload delivery services, as well as consolidated groupage deliveries for the carmaker. The logistics provider will handle single shipments into Honda’s plants across key European markets including Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium and the UK using sites across its UK network.
Honda uses Gefco’s integrated network for shipments via its EuroDailyService.
Gefco UK has been working with Honda Motor Europe Logistics, the sister arm of Honda, since 2008.
“We have been very pleased with the services Gefco UK has provided in the last seven years and as such we are delighted to renew the contract for another three years,” said Brian Marvell, zone leader, transport operations quality for Honda Motor Europe Logistics. “We are a large business and recognise Gefco UK as being the perfect partner to assist us in our operational developments within European networks.”
