Imperial Logistics International has appointed its chief information officer (CIO) Michael Lütjann (pictured) to a three-person management board.
The 47 year-old joined the company in August 2015 and from next year will also take over the CIO role for the logistics division of South Africa-based parent company, Imperial Holdings.
Before joining Imperial, Lütjann was senior vice-president of IT management logistics at Schenker and CIO at logistics specialist Fiege.
The other management board members are CEO Carsten Taucke and CFO Thomas Schulz.
Taucke said: “We now have a proven and experienced IT expert at management board level. He’s expanding the digital infrastructure at our company and continuing to develop processes, forms of work and business models with regard to their digital design.”
Imperial Logistics International, which has its headquarters in Duisburg, is separated into two divisions: Imperial Transport Solutions and Imperial Supply Chain Solutions.
