Audi is using 3D holograms to better plan production logistics processes at its vehicle assembly plants. The use of augmented reality technology removes the need to produce prototypes of equipment or containers, making planning more cost and time efficient, according to the carmaker.

NewsBMW launches Idealworks subsidiary to supply logistics automation technology
BMW Group has founded a subsidiary called Idealworks to supply autonomous robots to the logistics sector, including companies outside of the automotive industry. The subsidiary, which is based in Munich, Germany, and currently has a team of 30, takes its name from the acronym for industry-driven engineering for autonomous logistics (Ideal).

NewsAudi switches to LNG trucks for inbound delivery at Neckarsulm
Audi has started using trucks powered by liquified natural gas (LNG) to deliver parts to its Neckarsulm factory in Germany. The carmaker said the two trucks would replace conventional diesel vehicles and save up to 20% of CO2 and around 85% of nitrogen oxides.
