German transport and logistics provider, BLG Logistics, has appointed Jens Wollesen to head its contract logistics division from the beginning of July this year. He also becomes a member of the board of management.
Wollesen will move from his current role where he is member of the executive board at Kuehne + Nagel and responsible for contract logistics in the German and Swiss markets, as well as looking after real estate. He is also a member of the executive board at Stute Logistics, another German transport and logistics provider.
Dr Stephan-Andreas Kaulvers, chairman of the supervisory board said Wollesen’s experience and success in contract logistics made him exactly the right person “to give a decisive boost” to what was a growing division within BLG Logistics.
In that role Wollesen replaces Andreas Wellbrock, who left the company at the end of December after 16 years with the company. Wellbrock is moving to become managing director at Germany’s wind energy agency (WAB), which serves as a nationwide contact for the offshore wind industry.
