French carmaker PSA Group has chosen an order management system (OMS) provided by supply chain management expert KBRW to support aftermarket deliveries of out-of-stock parts to its Distrigo distribution hubs in Europe.
Distrigo is PSA’s service parts brand, which was launched in Europe last year and the carmaker expects to have 130 spare parts distribution hubs across 11 European countries operational by August 2018. PSA Group now offers over 80,000 spare part lines, including a range of manufacturer parts, which it said required diverse supply chain processes linking a variety of players.
The carmaker said that the KBRW system provided reliable lead times, traceable goods delivery and “seamless” real-time order placement. Significantly the system has led to a 96% reduction in the administration of ordering parts according to PSA.
“After an in-depth review of the solutions available on the market, KBRW emerged as the most suitable partner to help us upgrade our IT systems and then swiftly launched the project for ordering out-of-stock spare parts,” said Christophe Musy, executive vice president, PSA Aftermarket. “We were quickly convinced by the company’s agile, tailor-made and cost-effective approach, as well as by their excellent references. KBRW will help us achieve our objective of offering best-in-class service levels.”
