Automotive transport and logistics provider, Lagermax, is celebrating 25 years of business in Hungary this week.
Lagermax Autotransport Hungary now provides services at four locations in the country: its headquarters in Budaörs; a branch office in Port Cespel near Budapest; at the Suzuki plant in Esztergom; and the Mercedes-Benz assembly plant in Kecskemét.
As well as Mercedes-Benz and Suzuki, Lagermax provides services in Hungary for carmakers including Ford, Kia, Porsche and Toyota. It will be adding Honda to that list in the early part of next year.
Over the last 25 years the company has built up 300,000 sq.m of vehicle storage space and runs a local fleet of 75 car carriers. Currently the company moves around 170,000 vehicles a year and has a workforce of 300 employees.
Last year Lagermax Autotransport Hungary had revenues of €20m ($21.5m).
“In addition to the vehicle transportation across the whole of Europe, [Lagermax] offers car transportation in Hungary along with a number of other services, such as vehicle modifications, paint, truck repairs, customs services and EKAER,” said the company in a statement. EKAER is the Electronic Trade and Transport Control System, which is designed to monitor goods trafficking in real-time within Hungary and on goods transported on public roads between member states of the EU (read more here).
Lagermax also provides a 24-hour technical call out service for trucks that breakdown or have technical problems.
