Bridgestone’s US subsidiary, Bridgestone Americas, has appointed Luis Solana as vice-president, logistics and supply chain management. He replaces John McLaughlin, who is retiring this year.
“Luis is a great addition to the Bridgestone team and his strategic leadership will take our supply chain organisation to the next level,” said Thomas Higgins, president of the integrated consumer tire group at Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “I am confident that Luis’s expertise, combined with his experience in a number of dynamic categories, will drive business growth across the Americas as well as enhance our distribution model globally.”
Solana joins the tyre manufacturer from beauty products supplier Coty, where he was vice-president of global supply chain. He has also previously held leadership positions at Colgate-Palmolive and Exel Logistics (now DHL Supply Chain), where he worked in conjunction with the consumer and automotive sectors.
Solana is also the president and founder REVAMPtics, a supply chain consultancy firm that aims to support senior executives to improve their supply chain and logistics processes.
