Aftermarket paint repair specialist Morelli Group is now using an online parts distribution and warehouse management system (WMS) from MAM Software Group, which it said would bring in greater efficiency to its operations in the UK. MAM Software is supporting the company with its cloud-based Autopart Online system along with the proprietary WMS software to improve stock flow and inventory handling.
"Our objective was to combine highly efficient logistics with leading-edge IT solutions to give us a competitive advantage," said Steve Opsblum, IT Manager at Morelli Group. "Although we had a long relationship with our previous system providers, we felt the time was right for us to make the decision to move to a more developed, user friendly, and ultimately more flexible system.
Morelli is a supplier of Glasurit, Spies Hecker, Du Pont, Standox, PPG and De Beer paint brands and is 3M's largest independent distributor in the automotive market. It has 17 facilities in its UK branch network.
"By combining all its major business functions into an integrated cloud solution, Autopart Online will simplify Morelli's administration and maintenance while providing the company with an agile platform that can be easily expanded as the business grows,” said Mark Kendall, national sales manager at MAM Software.
